The Russ Cemetery is located in section 17 of Jefferson Township, approximately five miles northwest of Bethany. From Bethany, go north on Route W for six miles to West 255th Street and turn left (west) on the gravel road. There is a sign for the cemetery at the corner. Go west 8-tenths of a mile to the top of a hill and turn right (north) and follow the lane to the cemetery. There is a small sign at the end of the fence row. Follow this lane 1/2 mile. The lane will turn to the right (east) and will dead-end at the cemetery. NOTE: This lane may be impassable during inclimate weather. A few graves are marked only by field stones. This should not be considered a complete list of burials.
