NEW HOPE BAPTIST CEMETERY, HARRISON COUNTY, MO

The New Hope Baptist Church cemetery is located in section 15 of Butler Township in the southwest corner of Harrison County. From Bethany, go south on I-35 for seven miles to the H/AA exit. Turn right (west) on Route AA and go two miles to the "T" intersection with Highway 69. Turn right (north) on Highway 69 and go just over one mile to Route P. Turn left (west) on Route P and go approximately three miles to West 150th Ave (gravel road). Turn left (south) and go about a mile-and-a-half to the cemetery. The church and cemetery are located at the intersection of West 150th Ave and West 375th Street. A sign above the door of the church reads: "New Hope Baptist Church, 1855 to 1918", but the cemetery is not that old. The cemetery is still in use and is well maintained, but a couple of the stones are worn and/or damaged and are unreadable.
